Paul Weller was close to his band associates Dee C Lee later became his wife, he was friends with Jam members Rick Buckler and Bruce Foxton. In his later Band the Style Council he was close to Mick Talbot and when the band disburse he continued to work with long time member Steve White.
Weller is my hero in music, for me he is one of the greatest song writers ever and I get the utmost pleasure from listening to his music.
This is not the real Weller site as I’m sure you’ve already discovered, however it is a site put together by a genuine fan friend. I want to cover all his material and say a little something towards it, if fans come across this site and have something to say by all means email me and let your voice be heard.
The one thing I’m sure all Weller fans will agree is that he has written many good songs and if you love his music it’s really hard to have a favourite and for me that’s the trade mark of a very talented artist.
The first time Weller came to my attention was when I heard Eton rifles, I can remember seeing the Jam on TV and my dad commenting that you never really see these bands do anything special on the guitar and just after he said that Weller played a little solo on Eton Rifles my dad said oh he is doing something now. That was many years ago however when I recall that moment it is as though it were yesterday.
